FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is included?
If you book a dinner at your venue, menu preparation, ingredients, preparation of dishes, service and cleaning up is all included. We will supply all the dishes and cutlery as well as table decorations. We only ask that you provide water and wine glasses for your guests (if possible).
When will the chef arrive?
The chef will need to get into the kitchen around 3 ~ 4 hours before the dinner start time for preparation. For example, if the dinner starts at 7pm, the chef will arrive at 3pm. We will need someone to be there in order to let us into the house. Once inside, there is no need for anyone to stay around.
Requirements for the kitchen
At least a two burner gas range stove (electric is OK. Please let us know if it is induction) and an oven. A normal size refrigerator (mini fridge like in a hotel isn't big enough) is needed and should be empty on the day so there is enough space as we deal with raw fresh fish and cold ingredients.
Are drinks included?
Pairing drinks with food is typically a matter of personal taste, therefore we don't supply alcoholic beverages. Guests are free to bring their own sake, wine or other drinks to the dinner. We do supply green tea and water for guests.
What if my guests have special dietary requirements?
We do our best to accommodate certain dietary requirements, however we cannot guarantee that we can adjust the menu for every need. If you have any dietary restrictions, please contact us prior to booking.
Can I change booking/event details?
If there is something you need to change on your booking for example, number of guests, dietary requirements etc., please contact us at least 5 days before the dinner is scheduled so we can make adjustments.
How do I book a dinner and pay?
Please fill out our 'make a request' form or email us directly with your request. Once we've agreed on everything, we ask that you transfer the funds to our account 5 days prior to the event to confirm the booking.
What if I need to cancel the event?
As we need to order fish from our suppliers in advance, we can only accept cancellations 5 days before the event time. We will refund your payment if you cancel 5 days before the event.
Do you accomodate children?
Children are more than welcome to attend the dinners however, we don't provide a special children's menu.
